About the Extract Images from PDF

Extract Images from PDF inspects selected pages for decoded raster image layers exposed by the browser PDF engine. A minimum width and height filter removes tiny assets, and results can be encoded as PNG or JPG.

The gallery shows up to 60 unique previews with page number and pixel dimensions, while the ZIP includes every qualifying unique result. Duplicate decoded images are removed by their generated image data.

Outputs are newly encoded render copies, not the original compressed byte streams. Vector drawings are not images, and full-page scans or flattened artwork may not appear as separable image objects.

Key features

  • All pages or selected page ranges
  • Minimum size filters of 32, 64, 128, or 256 pixels
  • PNG or JPG output
  • Duplicate-image filtering
  • Page and dimension labels
  • Preview gallery capped at 60 while ZIP includes all
  • Numbered ZIP packaging

  3. 3Choose PNG or JPG output.
  4. 4Find images and review the page and dimensions shown in the gallery.

Frequently asked questions

Are the original embedded bytes recovered?
No. Images are decoded by PDF.js and re-encoded as new PNG or JPG files.
Are vector logos extracted?
No. Vector paths are not raster image objects.
Why is a scanned page missing?
Some full-page scans or flattened compositions may not be exposed as separate qualifying image layers.
Does the 60-preview limit drop files?
No. The gallery shows 60, but the ZIP includes all found images.
Can duplicate images be removed?
Identical generated image data is de-duplicated across inspected pages.
