About the Excel to PDF

Excel to PDF reads a modern .xlsx workbook and renders worksheet cells into a browser preview. A selected sheet can be reviewed, and the output can include either that sheet or every worksheet.

Portrait or landscape orientation controls the A4 PDF pages. Cell values and basic worksheet layout are rendered, but this is not Excel's print engine and does not guarantee formulas, charts, merged-cell behavior, print areas, conditional formatting, or exact pagination.

The generated worksheet view is captured as an image and sliced across pages, producing rasterized output. Very large sheets can exceed browser canvas or memory limits; legacy .xls and password-protected workbooks are not supported.

Frequently asked questions

Are .xls files supported?
No. Save legacy workbooks as .xlsx before using the tool.
Will charts and Excel print settings match?
Not reliably. The browser renderer is not Excel's native print engine.
Are formulas recalculated?
Do not rely on browser conversion to recalculate formulas; save the workbook with current values first.
Is output selectable?
No. Worksheet previews are captured into rasterized PDF content.
Why can a large worksheet fail?
Very large rendered tables may exceed the browser's canvas dimensions or available device memory.
